Reminiscing good times

Internship work has been rather intensive in the last week and now it's about meeting deadlines. I'm finally getting a taste of how life would be as an working adult. 9-5, crazy traffic hours and the need to travel to work (which takes about minimum 40 minutes without traffic congestion).

It is however all good so far despite the hectic schedule and deadlines. Time really flies so quickly I didn't realise I've been spending the whole day in office just working things out. I would admit though that as much as I would love flexibility in my life, it is a reality that we won't bee getting much freedom to choose.

Anyway, I hope to get most of my work done by this weekend and hopefully draft out a food post.. or I could blog about my recent trip to Langkawi *which it's still fresh*. We'll see.

Till then.

Raya Haze

Sunset at Cenang

Selamat Hari Raya! I spent my long weekend at Langkawi with my high school friends and got back to a very hazy Kuala Lumpur. Have several things to blog about in mind if I can find the time! Change of plans.. as I would be working during my semester break this time. Alaaaaaa..

Back to reality tomorrow but looking forward to a productive time at work. :)

Food: Mr. & Ms. Cafe, Oasis Square Ara Damansara

Went to makan with HF and Shanon last week. Before I begin, I must say it was quite a feat to travel from Cheras all the way to Oasis Square Ara Damansara. With the help of Waze and Google Maps we made it all the way until.. Waze and Google Maps directed us to a housing area. Whut. Furreals.
And we weren't the only ones cause we overheard the other table who said they also went to a housing area while searching for this cafe. LOL.

Pro tip: If you wanna go to Mr. & Ms. Cafe, you're better off searching for "Rakuzen Oasis Square" instead, it's at the same place.

Mr. & Ms. encourages people to take pictures and post them online with their official hashtag #mr8ms. Smart, I'd say. Give a thumbs up for that. Oh ya, not sure why so many people keep saying Mr. & Mrs. The "r" makes all the difference people.

Normal cafe prices. I wanted the butterscotch pancakes but it was not available :(

Nice ambiance with good food. I'm still against paying so much for these cafe food but looks like things ain't gonna change and the price is just gonna keep on increasing.

Oasis Square is a quiet place surrounded with quite a number of eateries. Very nice place here. Took some photos and I'll share two here :D

I think I'd like to frequent this place more.. but the distance is really a hindrance. :P

Results: #adidasBloggerCup

www.ruxyn.com had the privilege to participate in the #adidasBloggerCup campaign and ended in 3rd place after 4 weeks and 8 questions! A fellow Gooner, Mogan, who entered the contest from my blog has also won a jersey. So happy for him! Thank you everyone who joined this contest and I hope you had fun as much as I did :)

On another note...

"Good things come in small packages" Well, that does not mean you can't upsize the good thing right? :P Chatime's Supercups promotion. RM9.90 per cup but got this at RM15 during happy hour. Happy or what?

Will be lining up some updates right after I finish my last paper on Wednesday. Stay tuned!

Hi, July

We are just days away from FIFA World Cup finals! I'm not sure how many crazy fans out there have been staying up to watch all the football matches. I'm rooting for Germany! I hope Holland goes through to the finals so that Germany can whack them. :P

I haven't watch any match cause the hours are just too crazy, I need sleep - especially since I have four classes at 8am in a week the whole semester. I'm glad the first semester for year 3 has come to an end (almost, finals not over yet) in less than 6 weeks cause the lecturers have already stopped teaching. Then I reflect back, what have I learn, what have I been doing?!

Internship has been rather good so far. I'm so glad I took up this internship because I really love my supervisor and my "colleagues". Having given the opportunity to brainstorm for ideas even as an intern is great, but I think having flexible working hours is even greater. I love the freedom given :P Thank God I didn't have to do the "typical intern jobs" like making coffee, stapling or photocopying. You know, those horror stories about interns being bullied and stuff.

Somehow, I've been doing a lot of social eating in the last few months. I'm trying my best to cut down. 80% of my expenditure goes to food. Eating out is costly nowadays cause one meal typically costs about RM20. :< Gone are the days where I can have a nice meal with drinks for less than RM10.

Kkkkk... life haven't been very exciting aside from internship.

Anyway jie, so glad you're around. Happy belated birthday.
